BRACKISH WATER SYSTEMS

This 3,000 gallon per day tap water reverse osmosis system was commissioned at Sbarro restaurant, Bay Street, Nassau, Bahamas in 1999. The system is designed to supply purified water to the steam equipment and drink fountain from the municipal water supply. Carbon and sediment cartridge filters are used for the pre-treatment to address the chlorine and suspended solids fluctuations within the feed water. The single pass R/O array produces a permeate average of 20 ppm. The system is post-treated with zinc injection for corrosion control and caustic injection for pH adjustment. The system is located on the roof of the building and has an elaborate piping network to accommodate the flow streams.

LifeSource Engineering has a bi-annual service contract with this client.
